How far is too far?

Some things in life are black and white. Music isn't one of them. Yesterday, my mom and I had a discussion about my musical preferences. To me, the musical style of Skillet and Thousand Foot Krutch is fine, but she doesn't care for it. Anyway, the discussion got me thinking: How much is too much? Where do you draw the line? To me, Skillet is totally acceptable music. On the other hand, it's clear to me that bands like Demon Hunter go too far. My grandparents probably think the likes of Newsboys and Michael W. Smith go too far. =) So is it all just preference? Or is there truly some line somewhere that defines 'nice' music from 'not nice' music? Maybe that's something I'll never know. =)

Christmas is coming...

Christmas is exactly a month away today. Last year we didn't really realize it, until Christmas was like a week or two away, and if we're not careful, that will happen this year too. Life just goes on as normal. We really should start putting up decorations soon. That would help us remember. =)

On a rather random note, I just recently discovered I really like Skillet.

The CD this song is on, Comatose, is on my Christmas wish list. Not sure what mom thinks... =) We'll see.

Here goes nothing...

Well, I'm pretty new to this whole 'blogging' thing, so please bear with me as I figure things out. =)

First off, I think an explanation of names is in order. Here's the definition of the blog's name, according to my English-Quenya dictionary: "ósanwë noun 'interchange of thought', 'communication of thought', i.e. telepathy." When I picked the name, I didn't realize it referred to telepathy, and not ordinary conversation, but I like it too much to change. =)

'Meldor' is Quenya for friends, thus that is links to my friend's blogs, with their names all translated into Quenya. =)
